So, you'll get a mail 1 week before joining about office address and accommodation details.
They'll put you up in Manjeera Diamond Towers .In this post I'll discuss about the accommodation.
First of all.. for all those coming from the airport .. its just a 40-45 minute ride. For those coming from the railway station.. the nearest station from accommodation is the Lingampally station. I took a flight so dont know exactly about the time taken from Secundrabad station!
This place is located on the outskirts so dont keep your expectations too high!
As for the rooms .. they are excellent in infrastructure. You'll get a bed (with mattress and pillow), table chair, and an almirah. You have a TV n sofa in the common area of the flat. The bathrooms are fitted with geysers. Overall well furnished and highly maintained. They provide you with bed sheets which they change every week and cleaning is done on a regular basis too.
Now coming to the most important part ie FOOD! There is only a small canteen sort of a place that has biscuits cold drink tea samosa etc. You don't get proper meals inside Manjeera. So be prepared to spend a lot of money on food!
On a walking distance there are a few Dhaba type of eating joints providing north and south indian food. I'd suggest keep a stock of all the medicines related to stomach ailments. Because after eating out here, your system will take some time to adjust :P ...
There are small shops that have a good stock of things you might need on a daily basis like snacks, chips biscuit soap shampoo stationery etc.
One of the most annoying fact is that you cant order food from outside and take it to your room.. or cook in your room as you might have done in your hostel. That is strictly prohibited and they keep check on it too!
But don't worry about it though... coz breakfast and lunch you'll have in office where they have a huge food court with all type of food including fresh fruits and juice. Its only the dinner that will be a challenge for you taste buds.

DeleteHey how to reach manjeera tower from airport??Like how was your experience?How much they charge you?And is there any good hotels near Manjeera where Parents can have accomodation??
ReplyDeleteyou can take a cab.. best choice.. say that you want to go gopanpally .. nearest land mark is aparna sarovar (AS)... but when you come from the airport.. manjeera comes way before AS .. so tell the driver its on the same road but before AS...The cab may charge you anything between 500-750 Rupees..
DeleteThere are no hotels near manjeera for parents as such.. good hotels are in gachibowli.. thats the nearest decent place for parents...
As for the subjects .. it depends on the stream/technology that you are assigned to ... there is no need to carry any books.. they have enough training material plus a very well stacked library..

And what were the subjects they taught you during your training period?Do we need to carry some books to hyderabad ?

ReplyDeleteokay.. I was in HYD02 .. done with my ILP .. in Java you have everything on the table of contents of "Complete Reference" including Servlets!!! as for your last question.. I dont know much about it.. I think it depends on the particular certification!

ReplyDeletePAT is more application based than theoretical. Aspire has enough material if you really go through it.

Mostly 2 in one room.
DeleteAt the time of declaring date of joining they declare if your base branch and ILP location is same. That means if they just told you your ILP location and nothing else .. your base branch will be different.
Are the rooms allotted by them? Is it on first come first serve basis? Or you can share the apartment with your buddies from college as I have my college mates with me as well. Does this Manjeera Diamond Towers have a gym in the campus? If not are there any gym around there?

As for the gym .. yes there is one.. but not very well maintained (atleast till the time i was there) .. I've heard there was some place nearby too but didnt try so no idea.

ReplyDeleteyeah .. you need to pay separately for it though.. they come and set up a router in the flat.. you can share the bill amount with your flat mates hence its affordable if all agree ..
